Sincerely FAQ

How does Sincerely work?
Once you join, you’ll answer a few questions to help us match you with your pen pal. You’ll then receive a stationery kit and writing prompts. Send your letter back to us in our included return envelope, and we’ll handle the rest, forwarding it to your match (and theirs to you).
Can I write whatever I want?
Yes. Prompts are included to inspire you, but you can write freely. Share your stories, reflections, questions, or just what’s on your mind. This is your space.
What’s included in the beta membership?
Every tier includes your first pen pal match, a curated stationery kit, writing prompts, and return mail coordination. Higher tiers offer extended access, discounts, and signature gifts.
How long does it take to get matched?
Once you sign up and complete your intake questions, we’ll match you within 7–10 days and ship your kit shortly after.
What if I don’t like my match?
We believe in the magic of unexpected connections, but if it’s not working out, just reach out. We’ll offer support or a rematch if needed.
Is my information private?
Yes. We only share your first name (or pen name) and your letter with your match. Your mailing address stays with us.
Do I need to be a good writer?
Not at all. This isn’t about grammar or perfect prose — it’s about being real. Just write from the heart.
How often can I write my match?
At a minimum, we recommend writing once a month to your match, but there are no limits! You and your match can write to each other as often as you’d like through our service.
Can I gift a membership to someone else?
Absolutely. You’ll be able to indicate gifting during sign-up.
What if my match doesn’t write back?
Life happens, and we want to honor the slow nature of letter writing. However, every letter deserves a response, and we’re here to make sure you get one. We’ll offer reminders and nudges to keep the letters flowing, but if you haven’t heard back within a reasonable time, just reach out to us. We’ll follow up on your behalf and, if needed, offer a rematch so you can still enjoy the full experience.
